First of all happy fourth everyone!!! Well today I just went to the mall with the fam. I don’t know why but we didn’t have the typical barbecue. Today was more of a chill day we don’t even have fireworks :(. But I guess its okay I mean at least I got to show off my outfit somewhere today. I have been loving the slow-motion function on my new iPhone (hence the video) it just makes me feel like I am in one of the fancy commercials. I don’t know why it didn’t transfer over when I dowloaded it to my computer but windows movie maker can do slow-motion too. It’s amazing how simple slow-motion is but it just makes everything look so professional. I also wanted to try posting a little video on here because I have never done something like that before. (let me know if you liked it and want me to do more) By the way I have highlights now as you may have noticed. I love the change and how edgy they make me look!

See Ya Later!!

My Take On Street Style

??????????

018

Hey guys so today I decided to dress a little more like my sister. (who is younger than me btw) She has a street style kind of vibe to her and I thought I would channel it today. I think what really made it have this vibe was tying the plaid shirt around my waist. (my sister does this almost all the time) I think I really pulled it off! It’s really cool to experiment with different genres of style especially those out of your comfort zone. I am normally more of a girly laid back vibe but it was nice to try a more tomboy kind of style. I also love how the colors go together. Also I added my trademark necklace which put my own touch into it. That’s the key to trying a style that is out of your comfort zone; put your own spin on it.

Mirror Selfie

Hey guys so today’s outfit is a mirror selfie. I can’t remember if I was rushing but somehow I ended up taking pics of myself in the mirror instead of having someone else take them. Anyway I love how the colors in the flower pants don’t necessarily go with blue green top but they compliment each other. It’s a very springy outfit with the bright colors and crochet top which is actually two pieces I put together. It’s a magical moment when you can find two things in almost the same exact color! (well if they are different articles of clothing of course. I am so ready to get my summer started I can feel it in every fiber of my body. I am really busy this summer with an art camp and cosmetology school but at the very least it’s a good busy. So as for the consistence of my posts I will probably have a lot of pre-made ones like this one. This just means that even though I may not have worn the outfit on the day that I posted that I did wear it at some point. I do like the idea of talking about the outfits I wear on the day of but I wan to see how this who “pre-posting” works out. Let me know in the comments what you think!!

See Ya!!!

Girly Casual

??????????

??????????

??????????

??????????

Hey guys so today I was feeling the girly vibe. It’s more of a girly casual vibe with the sneakers included in the mix. Now looking at it I wish it was warm enough for me to wear my sandals at the time because I would’ve liked that better. Anyway the sweater has little gems or sequins or whatever you call them on it so it shimmers in the light. I also like how the pink looks coming through the holes. I also made my hair a little edgy by pinning it to one side (but really I had no choice because my “braid out” looked terribly short and bent a weird way). I guess that I just dealt with what I had and it turned out pretty well, but I will definitely be buying some shoes that I can wear when it’s a little chilly and still look girly. Let me know if you want me to explain what a “braid out” is and other parts of my curly/natural hair care techniques!

Hey guys so kind of sort of recently (March 22-24) I went to Chicago with my cosmetology school for the American Beauty Show. It was one of the best experiences and I bought enough stuff for ten people (slight exaggeration), but only because there were so many good deals. I learned a lot about the passion need to be a hairstylist and I also got a lot of cool hair products. I went to the Stylist Choice Awards and it was not only cool to go to my first reward show but at the end we got to take home a bag of all the products that won!!! (can you spell excitement!! 🙂 ) So anyway the outfit. I love the colors in this outfit, I think that they really compliment each other really well and plus it was super comfortable for walking around the show which was literally the size of several football fields. I love the lace detailing in the sweater jacket as well. Also I love that scarves make any outfit look that much more fancy and this one is silk which makes it that much more comfy.

Statement Piece

Hey guys so I know it has been a while but life can sometimes get in the way of things you know. I’m not going to make any promises to do better instead I will just try my best and we will see what happens. Anyway this outfit isn’t my typical kind of style, but it turned out very good. I think you can tell now that I like to wear bright colors so under normal circumstances I would’ve worn something like bright magenta pants with this, but I wanted to try something different. I like how the turquoise is the highlight of the outfit, it really makes a statement. I know you have already seen this cardigan but I just love it that much. It is so easy to pair with anything. I also felt like being really creative with my photography this day. I took these pictures in the choir room (hence the piano) instead of my usual spot in my house. Tell me about what you like to wear to make a statement. Shoes? clutches? shirts? pants? Leave a comment below!!!
